On 9- 10th of October 2009 educational meeting on Periodic fever syndromes and other autoinflammatory diseases will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The main reason for this meeting is to spread the knowledge about these rare diseases mainly in the states of former Yugoslavia, middle, eastern and south Europe.

Currently we have only retrospective data regarding organ involvement and outcome of juvenile systemic sclerosis. The prospective inceptionscohort project should create a prospective cohort of patients with juvenile systemic sclerosis within the first 18 months of the disease after the first non-Raynaud´s symptom, with a standardized assessment protocol.

The aims of this projects are to develop classification criteria for clinical and basic science that distinguish the idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) (pediatric and adult) from other major mimicking conditions with high sensitivity and specificity and 2) that separate major subgroups of the IIMs from each other with high sensitivity and specificity. In total we wish to collect data from 30 cases from each contributor if possible, preferably 15 JDM cases and 15 patients with mimicking conditions.

This research aims to set-up an international cohort of patients selected on homogenous criteria established by a committee of experts in order to define tools for early diagnosis of BD in children. The cohort is aimed also to support genetic studies.
